Deadly Boss Mods

This build won't load when you enter instances or engage bosses etc.

Latest release is fine..

just tested, i confirm no problem. besides nothing has been changed in load on demand since adding partial support for areaID loading, but that's commented out right now in all the toc files til it's fixed.

hmm someone else is telling me they have same problem, but only with party mods. which makes me suspect the problem is actually do to a bad install where new version of mod was file merged with old version instead of out right replacing them, since the party mods name change to accomidate cataclysm. delete dbm then install fresh and see if it works.

5man, was where I first noticed it..

However, it was also in ICC10.. I tried /RL and shutting game down completely and restarting it.. Still didn't load in ICC10..

Downgraded to public release and it worked..

nothing wrong with alpha though that i can reproduce. i just suspect a bad install, the only mod loading was even changed on was party. the rest should have been completely unaffected

Tested it as well.

Party mods loaded fine in Violet Hold
ICC mods loaded fine in ICC10 and 25

Both tested just the Alpha but also in combination with the TBC package


Could you try it with just DBM enabled as addon and see if it loads ?

If you had Alpha r4382 installed -> it wouldnt load as there was an error in the Core module.

I didn't... r4379 was the latest available when I installed it, and when I reverted back to release..

i still suspect it was just a bad install. or maybe you didn't completely exit game when upgrading, and toc file changes plus /reloadui don't work.

I'll put this down as a "something bad must have happened during install", even though I followed the exact same procedure I always do, when installing Alphas..

Just installed r4393 (removed all of DBM-WotLK folders and unzipped Alpha), and 5mans doesn't load yet again..

However, the good news is that raids do load (tested with ICC and SWP)..

that doesn't make sense since they work for me and arta.

I have to add, if I press the "Load AddOn" button, it works like it should, and even stay loaded for multiple instances (as long as I don't relog)..
However, I'm not inclined to remember that type of things :-/

Just noticed that Zul'Gurub (a bear got to farm his mounts ) doesn't load by itself too
ICC loads..
CoA loads..
Ulduar (weekly) doesn't load...

ok, got a feeling what might go wrong.
Seeing you got BC mods installed (at least Zul'Gurub) could you do some more tests ?

I guess these raid instances don't load:
AQ20
AQ40
Onyxia
Zul'Aman
Zul'Gurub

The others load normally.


If this theory is correct -> It has to do with the ' in the zone names in the TOC file (Drak'tharon Keep for party mods)

But "Utgard Pinnacle", "Halls of Reflection" or "Ulduar" etc don't have any apofstrofes (spelling??), so that might puncture your theory..

I'll try to look into the raid instances later tonight or maybe tomorrow..
